One of the most classic Adam Sandler movies for sure. I've met plenty of people that don't really enjoy Adam Sandler too much, but I say, fuck 'em. The money that his films gross when released is more than enough proof that Adam Sandler is doing something right. If you haven't seen this movie, I recommend you do. It's fun to watch Happy make the transition from Hockey to Golf, two completely different sports with only one unique similarity. The swinging of the golf club and the use of the hockey stick. Now, while Happy isn't too great at skating, his slap shot is damn near perfect. After one day hitting some golf balls around to win a small 10 dollar bet, he realizes that he can take this special skill to the driving range and win a few more bets from the people down there.
He catches the attention of old golf pro, Chubbs Peterson. Who decides to take Happy under his wing and teach him a few things about golf and help him take part in the PGA tour. Popular golfer at the time, Shooter McGavin, does whatever he can to sabotage Happy and win the championship for himself. There's romance, friendship and hilarious rivalry. 5/5. One of my favorite Adam Sandler movies, but definitely not my favorite of all time. Watch this shit pal!
