Today am writing on the need for the corrections of the bugs in the current Esteem application for PC.

Due to the recent glitches experienced by most of us while trying to login to www.steemit.com, I tried to use desktop version of the esteem app as an escape route pending when the website is full set again or probably I will continue to use it if it entices me. Though I sometimes use the android version of the application despite its many bugs which other users has contributed on here, I was thinking that the desktop version will be better than the mobile version since the PC version do not have high a number of users unlike the mobile version.

I used google to search for the pc version of the application and google as usual returned million of answer in seconds. Going through the websites which my google search returned, I quickly opened the answer which bears a steemit publication from @good-karma . Going through the post in which he used to announce the launch of the PC version of the esteem app, the publication was done about 10 months ago, I felt I have finally landed, in the post; he published every details of the app including the download links for the various version for PCs and Mac computers.

At first I was skeptical about downloading it because the app is about 68mb in size which means a big data if you’re running on mobile subscription like I do. But I eventually decided to give it a trial by downloading it through https://github.com/feruzm/esteem-desktop/releases/download/v1.0.0/eSteem-win32-ia32.zip  as dropped in https://steemit.com/esteem/@good-karma/esteem-announce-release-of-desktop-app .

After several failed attempts of the download, I eventually downloaded and installed the app in my pc. But I was so surprised the app is not working properly as I it keeps trying to load but couldn’t. At first I taught that my network is not working until I tried to open other pages using my browser.


After many failed attempts to login or load the homepage, I decided to go back to the post @good-karma published while announcing the launch of this app and I saw many complaints from other users which confirmed to me that the app had a bug and needs to debugged and improved on.

Meanwhile the official page of the app is returning an error message as i tried to download the app through its official page to be sure that the problem is not from the version i downloaded.

Hence a wish to call on the developers of this great app to consider improving the PC version of this great app alongside the mobile version which I believe they are either working on already or considering to work on following complaints users has dropped through utopian.io.     
Finally, I want to commend utopian.io for giving me this platform to express myself.
