When some people hear the word grace what comes to their mind is not what the word means spiritually, when some people hear it all they think about sin, worldliness, pride, lust. This are misinterpretation of  that word called grace. Christians enjoys this for being a loyal child to the father. 

growing in grace that's what God wants but sin can hinder this and that's why Peter was telling the importance in this scripture because we must grow in grace as a child of God, something is wrong if you are growing in grace as a child of God, it means you are have not give yourself away to him completely.

In this wicked world where the mighty are falling we need grace to abstain from all sort sin that can make us lose kingdom of God. To live according to commandments of God and to be righteous we need grace and grow in it.

>Zachariah 4:7
"What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!'"

As a christian we need to pray for grace, with grace we can live a godly easily and with grace we can do incredible things, their will be no mountains we won't move. Let grow in God's love and grace.
