I've mentioned that I believe that cultural mentality of some RAP, and some people makes sense for why there would be more conflict with law enforcement.     I also said it had nothing to do with race.   This culture began with the Irish, it went to a lot of blacks, and it is currently an culture embraced by Blacks, white, etc.     There is no [insert color] Culture.   You cannot readily change your skin color without dyes or a tan.   Your culture can be changed, though not always with ease.

So I am not attacking Black Culture.   I don't believe in the existence of "black culture" or "white culture".    I believe skin color and culture are two very different things.

With that said.   There are cultures that set up thugs and criminals as idols.    So it is not surprising to me that if such locations where that culture is dominant have more crime, and more negative interaction with law enforcement.   It should be expected.   The culture is calling for it.

So when they get what they are admiring and calling for, why then is it a surprise?

Why do we then start talking about Black Lives Matter when it appears that culture is the issue rather than skin color.   Culture explains far more of the events than skin color.

There is one good thing about culture.   You are not forced to be a culture.    You can choose the cultural values you wish to praise, and pursue.   I didn't say it is easy.   Yet, not all good choices are easy.   Actually, the easy choices are often bad.   So taking a challenging path can be rewarding.   Unlike skin, if you have a problem with a culture, change it.   Be yourself, follow your own values.

Now I saw Brandon Tatum speaking about this today.   It resonated with something I have spoken about many times.

EDIT:   I am not proposing banning Rap music.   Also, not ALL Rap music or Hip Hop is this way.   It is mostly the Gangsta Rap style.   I'm a metal head.   I've lead a life of having people bash my music.   That was not my intentions here.    Gangsta Rap is just something embraced by the cultural movement (embraced by all skin colors) that tends to elevate the thug as someone to idolize.
