When you start earning #1,000,000 then you start to triple your expenses, as you start thinking of how to buy houses in the most expensive place in the country, you start going to club, you put your children in the most expensive schools, you start getting loans to buy luxury because you know you are going to get the salary soon, then you start paying debts with your incomes.

The reason why Nigerians remain the same is that they spend the main part of their income getting luxuries and things that will make them look rich and use the rest for feeding instead of investing the larger portion of their income, save the smaller portion and spend the rest which is a little.
