<div class="text-justify">We could consider an environmental insurgent history for combat, but we are weak in the face of warlike encounters, many environmental martyrs are the evidence. Far from that, far from war, we propose an insurgent history for life and to save the planet. We are strong in the field of deliberation, in the field of ideas.</div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">Environmental leadership emerged as a response to the devastating, polluting and colonizing model of nature and humanity, carried out by empires such as the Roman Empire. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">In the field of ideas, that of empires, their idea was to conquer, to put nature and humanity at their service. The idea of the environmentalist is to save humanity and the planet Mother Earth. </div><P/>
 
<div class="text-justify">It is the story of domination for the enjoyment of a few, regardless of destruction and extraction, without any analysis or study of environmental and human resilience. In contrast, our idea is to allow evolution to continue without interference from disturbing factors. It is not possible, then, to avoid this dominating, devastating, polluting model. </div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">We went in 1972, as humanity as owners of the environment, to the World Summit on the Human Environment in Stockholm. From there, sustainable development emerged as an insurgent environmental revolutionary approach. From that Summit we came out being a part of the environment, a part of humanity, with responsibility for its integrity and arrangement. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">We only had to have common sense to understand that we were not an extrenvironmental entity or system, because the general theory of systems placed us as a system within the environment. We are part of the environment. We are part of the planet that serves as our transport in the great wasteland, which we call the Universe and which should be called the Environment. We could hardly avoid our responsibility in taking care of it, in not helping to destroy it. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">The environmental insurgent history that led us to the current concepts, procedures and organizations was not born as an individual process. In our world there were social and environmental collectives, people interested in making contributions, scientists, philosophers, building the bases for the new environmental approach, which did not remain in the Stockholm Summit, within the contributions, the institutional process was born from the United Nations Organization, creating its Environment Office (UNEP) and systematized the minimum guidelines for a development with respect to humanity and the environment. We went from Conservation to Sustainable Development as a collective construction. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">An exercise of insurgent history was carried out, with the recognition of all the pollution of the hydrosphere, atmosphere and lithosphere, with the interpretation of the ozone hole, with the analysis, finally, of the devastation of ecosystems and biomes, with the uncovering and analysis of the affectation of species beyond their resilience. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">Until then, knowledge about ecosystems, biomes and bioregions, about paleoecology to know and understand through evolution what we are as a planet, as a biosphere, was weak. With the insurgent history as part of Environmental Education, it makes us capable of doing battle in the field of ideas, an abysmal difference in the environmentalist courage in defense of ecosystems, which has taken so many lives. </div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">Perhaps the true path to sustainable development, so difficult to understand in today's dominant model of capitalism, is to focus our struggles through environmental insurgent history. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">The environmental insurgent history could be established in our communities through Environmental Education, environmental integrality, including environmental awareness. Thus it must become a historical objective, until it becomes the primary interest of our environmental insurgent history. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">As an objective within environmental education, environmental insurgent history should be considered as a basis. It should be included as an academic program, which contemplates the environmental policy of identification and recognition of the most affected ecosystems, biomes and bioregions. Also of the most vulnerable or excluded sectors of humanity, especially those excluded from previous historical times. Sustainable development does not affect the environment, it does not affect humanity. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">The historical and political approach to sustainable development goes through the identification of the actors, of those responsible, of the instruments of domination of the biosphere and humanity. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">As a function of integrity, we must also consider the resistance that has been raised, resistance in organized or individual form, which slowed down or did not let the human processes that could devastate and contaminate, conquer and dominate, move forward. Environmental insurgent history recognizes these efforts and places them in relevance to analyze their use as valid strategies for other situations. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">With the environmental insurgent history it would allow to advance in a model where nature, humanity, are not recipients of the consequences of history as a "guest of stick", rather it considers them as historical protagonist factors. Not only environmental people and organizations act as revolutionaries, everyone becomes a protagonist and acts or can act as a transforming historical subject. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">The United Nations and its Environmental Office (UNEP) has called for this, without being explicit, to be a historical protagonist, it seems to us, through its appeals to the co-responsibility of governments, companies and the people. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">Environmental Education has the challenge of moving forward with insurgent history, leaving aside the narrative of isolated facts and moving to the total understanding of system in the past and present times, interdependence and submission to the general theory of systems. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">With the Resistance we have fought the battle in defense of the environment and humanity. The defense of the territories against conquest and colonization, which in our case has been evident, from the indigenous peoples, the Afro-descendant peoples, the struggle against neoliberalism. The legal body produced the justification, with laws and regulations, which made the depredation and domination permanent over time. the dominated, despite this, without giving up, we have been the resistance. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">The insurgency against processes, against the Vietnam War in the United States itself, the insurgency of Greenpeace and other local environmental organizations against the extraction of trees for timber, against whaling, among others, should be noted. The last insurgency was in the face of the insurgent vacuum in the face of neoliberalism, the environmental groups functioned as a base for the formation of anti-neoliberal organizations, the planning and execution of protests. With human, family and community losses, we paid for the insurgency.  </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">That insurgency gave hope to humanity. It tells us that humanity, other species, ecosystems, biomes, bioregions, the biosphere, Mother Earth, will survive. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">Also within the environmental insurgent history, we have seen the evolution of the vision or periods from the perspective of our planet, from the natural deity, the naturalists, the conservationists, environmentalists and ecosocialists. That schematic form gives us assurance of the evolution of our environmental approaches. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">In conclusion, environmental insurgent history can be considered an alternative for establishing sustainable development. </div><P/>
