**Notes --->** We've now had three of the four 10s appear in the two readings this week. (Conspicuously absent is the 10 of Water = complete satisfaction, total contentment, ultimate joy, emotional fulfillment) We are definitely at the "end of the road" on some long-term investments ... so, again, be ready for changes.
Tens represent the culmination of considerable effort, the end of a major growth phase. The only place to go from 10 energy is into collapse, dissolution, decay, closure ... and from there make some new beginning.
You may be wiser and stronger ... and you are *definitely* more experienced. Your new start may be something you welcome -- or it can be "your only choice at this point." Or you may decide *enough is enough* -- and pull the plug on something. All these things are possible, because these cards -- not to put too fine a point on it with three 10s and the 10 of Water missing (the Tarot can have quite a sense of humor!!) -- say, "You're about to tie a string around something ... and get on to something else. PDQ."
(Sunday's reading in a nutshell said essentially ---> you're tapped out, fed up, uninspired and exhausted. Time for another perspective. Ground yourself while you still can -- and hang on to what's essential. You've earned it many times over.) And again I note that, at least for the time being, there's no happiness on display anywhere.

My Tarot Tuesday Twosome takes two cards and explains what they suggest about the present and immediate future. Two cards can show point / counter-point situations. They can show a situation and further details to consider. They can indicate the present situation ... and the near future or the next step in the progression.
They give literally twice as much information as the familiar One-Card Reading, and I have found them to be surprisingly prescient in my practice with them. So, I decided to bring them here to my Steemit blog -- to show you what I mean and invite you to consider their weekly message / prediction ... and step into a more conscious life.

**10 of Earth** = the end of a physical cycle, harvesting gains, working with assets, resources & support systems -- including your body & health -- to savor what you've accomplished & prepare to take things to the next level
**8 of Wind Rx** = release (often from a substantial, lengthy commitment), a new sense of freedom, moving on with new thinking and new perspectives, "breaking out of prison," ending or letting go of a difficult, confining situation, getting a new lease on life because you *think differently,* innovative or revolutionary thinking

**In a nutshell --->** Time to cash in your chips, pocket your winnings & / or cut your losses. You've reached the end of a cycle of building & profit & it's time to assess your gains (including the "wisdom of your experience") to have the full picture of what you've achieved & what you have to work with ... now.
Then move on with a different & far more liberated attitude. Part of your "profit" is the ability to *think differently* about where you've been & where you plan to go next. Consider your options thoroughly -- & make wise, informed decisions ... soon.

The end of the trail on something you've worked on for a while -- & profited from, too -- is coming up fast. On the other side of this ending is a sense of relief, liberation, mobility, new opportunities, different options -- and maybe wiser choices. Consolidate your proceeds. In effect, pay yourself. Tidy up details. Do maintenance work. *Take care of your physical body.*
Then consider your possibilities, entertain new projects and prospects from a place of control & independence. What can you choose if you no longer have your present (or soon to be former) encumbrances, old commitments, recent (or traditional) responsibilities & investments?
If you want to continue with "business as usual," you need to come at your current involvements from a totally new angle. Let go of preconceptions and expectations. See the totality of it with new eyes -- and as a different person in a different relationship.

<center><H5>A point to ponder
Simple words of wisdom
to make the journey more interesting</H5></center>
The (virtually useless) little instruction books that come with Tarot decks usually ascribe words like *wealth, abundance, success and prosperity* to the 10 of Earth card. (Notice even here it's designated The Great Work.)
It usually defines a considerable body of labor and investment. But as you work with the Tarot, you learn that this considerable body of work constitutes a learning experience ... and includes that as part of the profit you'll take with you .... including what you did right & how you might do some things differently.
You're probably still standing when you meet a 10 of Earth experience, as opposed to the mess signified by a reversed card. But the idea that you'll be rich, *rich, **rich*** when this card shows up is unfounded. You may be "in pretty good shape," or "have more than most" ... or you may be simply solvent and smarter. And some of it depends on what you define as *success.* You'll have to judge your situation (and what this card is talking about relevant to your life) for yourself.
Something almost certainly passed through your mind while you were reading all this. There's a darn good chance that's exactly what you need to close out or redefine. (If there's any doubt about that, this message could be the "sign" you've been seeking. At least factor it into your ultimate decision.)
(FYI, the 10 of Earth is the 10 of Pentacles ... or Coins ... or Discs in the traditional Tarot. It's the suit that describes practical, physical, material possessions, income and financial assets.)
The 8 of Wind Rx is the 8 of Swords Reversed in the traditional Tarot. The 8S describes things like tunnel-vision, a closed-mind, limited options, feeling restricted and constrained ... by your own thoughts and hesitation as much as anything else. The card shows a woman, bound, blindfolded and imprisoned by a ring of swords stuck into the ground surrounding her. That feeling of *being stuck* is all too literal when dealing with this card.
I've also described it as being the deaf-dumb-blind-&-stupid card. When it turns up *you know what the answer to your situation is.* But you keep looking for something more pleasant, more convenient, easier or less wrenching ... while the problem itself only worsens. I see this card come up a lot in readings that involve a long-term but unhappy marriage -- where religious convictions, family pressure or major property issues are involved.
Or maybe it describes a job you can't stand but which pays really well -- or where you have seniority -- or where starting over again is just unthinkable ... and so it holds you captive for these (or other) reasons. Or it could be a situation where you are perfectly miserable ... even being abused or damaged -- and yet ... the cure seems worse than just putting up with it all ... somehow ... as long as possible. (Because there are gains to be had -- maybe impressive ones!! ... or there *is an upside* -- sort of, and if you just say, *Screw this* and walk away ... what do you have then?)
Well, the reversed card, as you can imagine ... reverses all this. Your partner walks out on you ... and files for divorce. Your job gets outsourced ... or you get fired ... or you're made redundant -- or the owner of the company decides to retire & closes the business. ("Thanks for your years of service. Here's your final check. Take care of yourself now, you hear?")
The original situation is taken out of your hands -- and you have to deal with *this* situation instead. Yes, that's liberating as all get-out ... but there were reasons you hung in there so long in the first place. So ... now what?
The answer, of course, is -- *Now ... you start over.* Delivered from bondage ... in a way. (Perhaps a very real way!!) But the world looks different to you now -- however it came about. When you walk out that door for the last time ... you start another chapter of life. Hopefully, it will be better. We could very well be talking about something on this order of magnitude soon, from the progression of the cards so far.
Or -- maybe it's something that holds to these same themes but is far less shattering. Time will tell.

(Jeez. I started this whole series thinking the posts would be all nice, short-&-sweet & easy. Hasn't exactly turned out that way, has it? My vision of a little 600 - 800 word post with a few words of wisdom lies in a heap of smoking ruins at this point. That also fits the message of this reading without much of a stretch. As I've said before, when the cards start talking back to you ... you learn to respect them. Believe it.)
We'll play this game again next week. If I've sobered up by then.
