The Mysterious London Planetree

I've promised you I'm going to monitor this amazing [London planetree](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platanus_%C3%97_acerifolia) as I've never seen something similar and its behavior is strange to say the least. At first I didn't know what it was because it's not very common around here, this park is the only place I've seen it. You can't find these trees along the roads as the other, commonly known trees.

This is how it looks right now. The bark is more lighter than of the other trees, it's white, yellowish.

A close up photo to show you how different it is. I have to mention, no one did anything to it, this is all natural. The brownish bark is from last year and it's going to come off soon.

This one is exfoliating.

Very soon this bark is going to crack and come off, during the winter the tree is kind of naked. 

Nature has its mysterious ways and some things just don't make sense to me, this tree is one of them. Since I'm on Steem, I've learned to pay attention to details and research what I don't know. It's a great way of learning.
