I just finished a 8.474km run that lasted about 0hh:50mm:45ss !<br><center></center><br>Traditionally on the first Friday evening in June, Rašica Forest Run is one of the highlights of the local trail running community. It is always well organized by the Skiing Society Strahovica. The start and finish are in the village of Selo where from the road takes the runners up and almost to the top of Rašica hill. 5 kilometers for women and 9 kilometers for men on the tarmac roads, single paths, up and down, ... It's a pleasure to be positively exhausted on this race. My run was a single minded affair. *To run as best as I can in the present state of body and mind. I even held back a bit on the downhill sections since the rocks and roots there can be trickery when you going down full speed. The result was a bit over 50 minutes which surprisingly was good enough for the second place in my age group. I don't run for medals yet sometimes, very rarely, medals run to me. You can see from the images that my pace was around 6/min on average. Good for a 355 meters ascent loop. GAP pace was around 5/min with the downhill section being slower.
