Let It Snow ...

The look through the side window of my car while driving to work this morning. An inch of snow has already fallen.

It is the fourth snowfall of this winter season if I am correct. Ten inches of snow today, another ten inches next Tuesday.

Sorry for the dumb question but is the snow common in Slovenia? I'm talking not about the Alps but for example Capital Ljubljana? 
As Slovenia is rather southern Europe I wonder it snows not so often.

There are no dumb questions :)

In the central region, ie Ljubljana and vicinity, snow falls around four to five times during the winter. Today it was the fourth round with 10 inches of snow. We expect another shipment of snow next week. This will probably be it for this winter.

In the mountains in the North and in some regions in the Southeast there is more snow.

In recent years we don't have full time white winters as I was used to when I was a kid. Weather patterns have changed, there are many microclimate pockets with warmer and more moist air, highways act like venting system... Snow can't hold its ground in this changed situation.
