I've been on Steemit since August of '16...I endured the price of steem at a little bit over a nickel.  I sincerely HOPE that doesn't happen again.

lot of the price has to do with the upcoming 2 forks. almost all alt coins are down right now.

I think the price of STEEM is following a lot of other alt-coins.

BTC seems to be garnering the attention (and the money).  I used the BTC run to turn some into STEEM.

Ultimately, there is a lot more to the value of the STEEM than just the steemit app.

Well, I suggested strongly that we should make a user interface that had ads for space for sale in at least one place if not two for each article and everyone said I was an idiot for suggesting it.   I was going to do it anyways but I was busy saving the world in real life and could not get to it.  I STILL THINK THERE SHOULD BE ADVERTISING SPACE SOLD FOR EVERY POST!

According to @StephenKendal is bouncing between .92 and 1.62 back and forth. Once it breaks the 1.62 it's bound to take off. There is definitely a pattern in the way the price ticks between the same low and the same high.

Put up a beam with my dad to shore up the carriage house while we fix the water damage coming in from the rear.

A friend of mine has removed all of his Steem from his account to get bitcoin for it. I am sitting here laughing. All these nervous people making stupid decisions being all influenced by news & outrage.

We gotta be smart in our decisions, investing into something because it is just going uphill is really stupid, even I with no investment experience know that.

Always take calculated risks. And as I see this Steem will go uphill slowly but steadily because this Crypto is made for the mainstream.

It is Facebook 10 steps ahead. It just needs more advertisement. If people knew they could waste their time with Social Media and get paid for it they would leave instantly.
