One time bloomer

| Once upon a time I decided to buy some **Hyacinth** bulbs. Just to have some fresh flowers in the early spring. And because I really like their fragrance and how the flowers grow in those clusters. I picked the blue ones. Planted them and voila :) | Dawno dawno temu postanowiłam nabyć drogą kupna cebulki **Hiacyntów**. Coby mieć jakieś pięknie kwitnące kwiaty wczesną wiosną. Ale też dlatego, że uwielbiam ich zapach i to, że kwiaty tworzą te niesamowite kiście. Wybrałam niebieskie, posadziłam i voila :). |

| They grew quite nicely from each bulb. But you know how you buy them in flower shops in spring and they have those tall flower stem covered in blooms? Well mine weren't that tall. Te flowers we very pretty and super fragrant though. And that was it. The next year they grew some leaves only and then the bulbs died. The same thing happened with my tulips. First year all lovely, second didn’t even open one flower. |  Każda cebulką ładnie wykiełkowała. Ale kwiaty pod żadnym względem nie przypominały tych, jakie można kupić wiosną w sklepach. Te są duże, wyrośnięte i wysokie. Moje to takie wypierdki trochę.. Ale za to przepięknie pachniały. I to by było na tyle. W kolejny roku wyrosły same liście a potem wszystko obumarło. To samo stało się z tulipanami. W pierwszym roku przepięknie kwitły, w drugim klapa. |

|In cooler climates they overwinter in the soil. And I suspect that is what they need. A very cold, dark, long winter rest. I couldn't give them that unless I put the in the fridge. There was so many plants over the years that I absolutely adore, but they just wouldn’t grow for me. What will? Cacti! :) |  W chłodniejszym klimacie Hiacynty zimują w gruncie. Przypuszczam zatem, że tego właśnie im u mnie brakowało. Tej długiej, ciemnej i chłodnej zimy. Chyba, że trzymałabym je w lodówce. Przez ostatnie kilka lat próbowałam z różnymi kwiatami, ale te nie chcą u mnie rosnąć. A co daje radę? Kaktusy! :) |

It happened the same thing the me too. They are nice when you buy them ready, blooming but you can't get a second blooming. Maybe there's a trick of some kind. I prefer to buy them from the flower shop.
By the way, I bought some black tulip bulbs in September I guess and they are planted at my dad's. Can't wait to see them blooming 🌷😍
