These are the two of my favourite things

Bees and pink flowers. 
I couldn't ask for more :)

The bee is a bee. The flowers is a **Carpobrotus edulis** also called an ice plant or a Hottentot-fig. They grow all over the Portuguese coastline. On the poor sandy soils, near the beaches, on dunes, among the pines. When they bloom with those huge (apple size) flowers it just looks amazing!
And even though the yellow are more popular here I do see the pinks ones from time to time too.

I, too, have never seen such a flower.
On the coastline we have only beach, cafes, restaurants and hotels, so there is nowhere to grow wild wild flowers ...
