<center>**CAREER FOR KIDS CONTEST**</center>
I want to thank @focusnow and @steemalive community for this timely initiative, because this contest has opened my eyes to the responsibility attached to Parenthood.
I learnt it is not only enough to have kids, but to bring them up in a proper way and guide them in their career choices. Because we can't dictate what profession path they are to take.
<center>**INTRODUCING MY KIDS.**</center>
The contest states as a parent, of which I am not yet married, but I am now a father in lieu to the demands of the contest.
As a proud father of 3 kids, I am saddled with the responsibility of guarding my 3 beautiful kids in choosing a right career part.
Meet my lovely kids.....
1. **Shalom (Doctor)**
2. **Rhema (Engineer)**
3. **Zoe (Teacher/Lecturer)**
These kids are so unique and dynamic in what they do. Having been with them for this long, I have discovered and observed some traits that is tilting towards a particular career choice.
There are myriads of career path, but the ability to choose one out of the so many might be overwhelming to them. So I am going to guard them on what I have discovered about them and make suggestions to the right career path they need to take.

<center>*Who is a medical doctor?*</center>
A doctor is someone who is experienced and certified to practice medicine in order to help maintain or restore physical and mental health. A doctor is tasked with interacting with patients, diagnosing medical problems and successfully treating illness or injury.
This task makes them patient, Understanding, humble, caring and practice compassion.
<center>**REASONS FOR THIS CAREER PATH**</center>
**Passion** : I have discovered Shalom is sound academically especially in subjects like Biology and Chemistry amongst other subjects.
She has a deep concern for people and their health. This I noticed the very day I fell I'll when my darling wife left for a conference at UK. Shalom took care of me, examining me every minutes like a doctor.
It was that incident that made me arrive at this conclusion that she can fulfill her dreams of affecting humanity positively as a medical Doctor
**High Demands.** In the dearth of medical professionals, doctors are high in demand all the time.
>Available statistics show that over 45% of WHO member states report to have less than 1 physician per 1000 population" - World Health Organization.
**Is a respected profession:** The medical profession is the most respected profession in the world. With this career path and her benevolent spirit, she can provide healthcare service to the poor who cannot afford it, helping others in an incredible significant way.
**Job Security** : you can hardly see any doctor looking for a job. Because they are highly needed, they have job security.
This field of study requires critical thinking and problem solving. Doctors have to use their intelligent and technical skills to treat patients. So I believe she can do better as a medical doctor.

Today there has been a change in the old method of carrying out certain activities. This is possible through scientific inventions by engineers.
An engineer uses science, technology and math to solve problems. Engineering is everywhere in the world, around us, improving the ways we work, travel, communicate, stay healthy and entertain.
I have watched Rhema over time, his drive and passion for mathematics, further mathematics and his Inquisition to know how things operates has left many of my laptop charger repaired.
I believe he will do well as a Civil Engineer due to his high level of creativity. Because no matter the challenges, an Engineer encounters, his creativity will grant him ways of solving it.
Civil engineering is community service oriented. They have the skill set and talents necessary to rebuild the community infrastructure. I see that in him.
<center>**REASONS FOR THIS CAREER PATH**</center>
Civil engineers are also needed in the society and they have a stable job security.
An engineer gets fulfilled and motivated for the next task when he successfully achieves the task. So their fulfilment lies in the success of their accomplishment. This is Rhema, always happy when he achieves a task.
Little wonder Rhema kept telling me he loves the beautiful edifice of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Ecumenical Christian Center at Abuja the day we visited. So I believe he can do well if he chooses this career.

My love for this career is beyond just a career but a divine gift unto me. And I so much desire one of my kids to take this path.
When I saw the trait manifesting in Zoe, I realized that teaching will be best for him. He loves reading and asking questions. This is one of the prerequisites of a teacher.
A Teacher is an individual who has known enough in a field of study and has every skilled required to transfer such knowledge to others, so much so that they become what is taught.
Teachers are addicted readers, because they have to be filled with knowledge so as to teach others, motivated by love to get others impacted. *Because behind every successful profession there is a teacher behind.*
This have been seen in Zoe. I have seen him countless times teaching his fellow classmates.
Teachers although in our country are not well paid and celebrated. But the satisfaction comes when the students become better through the effort of the teacher.

Teaching helps future generations solve the problems of today and become good citizens, and create a more equal world.
Teaching is a career that helps to give back to the community or society and to ensure the young ones have a positive mentor.
Teaching is beyond the subject one teach but the ability to motivate the students to understand themselves, their ability and their weakness, hence motivating them to work on their weakness so they can become all they dream of becoming.
This I have noticed is the passion of Zoe. A good teacher tends to motivate it's students to become better than what they planned for their life. I have benefitted from your motivational skills, but it's up to you to choose the area of your passion in teaching.
<center>**CONCLUSION**</center>
As much as I desire a career path for my kids that will help them make money to take care of their needs, I also desire a career path that they will find fulfilment in.
These career paths I outlined for my kids are traits I observed in them and most importantly are careers that helps a person add value to the society directly.
I believe with these suggested career paths, they will be better equipped to transform their society and humanity at large.
