With this objective, they are requesting donations to finish filming this documentary.</p> <p>The documentary that accepts donations in Monero and Bitcoin began filming on October 24, according to its fan page on Facebook, and narrates the changes for which the emergence of digital currencies is responsible from four angles: the financial industry , drug trafficking, war financing and taxes.</p> <p>The independent project will address issues of commotion in the ecosystem, including anonymity, a topic for which there will be interviews with important characters of the crypto environment. Also, from a philosophical point of view, the documentary addresses how the little control that States have over transactions in digital currencies affects the government.</p> <p>Digital currencies have become a topic for many audiovisual projects, including SingularDTV's first project, Untitled Blockchain Film and Life on Bitcoin. But in this case, the growing trend of requesting donations to produce films or series using digital currencies draws attention.</p> <p>One outstanding example is the Colombian filmmaker Ana María Hermida, who for the production of her new film "Alicia" seeks to obtain the budget for the filming of her feature film in the Monero private currency. The crowdfunding alternative avoids fiat controls for international transactions, which far from pretending to avoid taxes, would prevent the bank from keeping approximately 10% of the film's budget.</p> <p>Apparently, using digital currencies to obtain financing for audiovisual projects is the new trend for independent cinematography. A panorama that seems to fit with the tendency of the independent cinema to avoid the big producing corporations and of course, the big financiers.</p> <p>We will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out how the producers of Satoshi Rising did in their fundraising.
