24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 
25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 
26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 
27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

In the part 1 of the message, I explained how important a foundation is in a building and how important we are to build a solid foundation for our lives on a solid rock by obeying the word of God. Today, in the second part of the message, I will be discussing some observations from Matthew 7:24-27.

##### Here are some observations from the passage above 
1) Everyone of us is a builder engaged in different kind of building activities such as building our spiritual lives, building of our career, building of our marital lives, and so on. Since we are all builders, we cannot afford to be careless with how we build our lives cos what we do now is laying foundation for the future. 
So, how are you building? On what are you building? And with what are you building? 

2) There are two types of foundations you can build on. The two are Jesus the solid foundation and other things that will not last. Building on Jesus Christ is building on the solid rock. So is either you are building on Jesus or you are building on falsehoods. 
Everything you are building on that is not Jesus will one day fade away, the only foundations the will last for eternity are foundation built on Christ Jesus. 

3) Every strength and quality of every foundation will be tested. From the passage above, the Bible says rain came down and wind blew against the house. The truth is that a Christian life is mark with faith from the beginning till the end of our lives but faith does not eliminate trials and challenges. At one point or the other, our faith will be tested as Christians. It is established from the passage that storm, rain and wind will come our way to try us but what will determine whether you will overcome the storm is what you place your foundation on.
