Even though most of those words easily describe my humble self, this time this article is not about me, rather it is about a man who has in the last couple of weeks captured the hearts of millions of Chelsea fans all around the world.</p>

<p>Alvaro Morata. At advanced age of 24 (in the footballing world, this is when you should be fast approaching your peak) and quickly closing down on 25, Alvaro Morata had previously never held his own at the top level, his time at Juventus and Real Madrid consisted of mostly cameos and impact substitute appearances. <p>In spite of his impressive stats and unarguable talents, many eyes rolled when Chelsea parted with 58 million pounds for a striker who has never been first choice in his entire career. When also considering the fact that Chelsea seemingly only turned to him after their overtures at Romelu Lukaku had been turned down. Many people thought this move to be borne out of desperation rather than Chelsea’s board being convinced about his quality.</p>

<p>Well, they could be right; but Alvaro Morata has definitely proved his detractors wrong. With seven goals in his first eight appearances for the English Champions, Morata might not be hitting the high notes that Romelu Lukaku has been hitting at Old Trafford, but Morata is definitely making a splash in England as he settles into the League and football culture.</p>

<p>In his first appearance on British soil, his detractors had a field day. He came on as an extra time substitute in the Community Shield Final Match against cross-town rivals, Arsenal FC. He replaced the ineffective Michy Batshuayi and had a tough time finding any sort of Rhythm during his time on the pitch. When the time came for him to take his penalty during the shootout that ensued from the 1-1 draw, he hit the ball hard and low but beyond the post.</p>
