If you've ever craved that *"wow"* look on people's faces when you talk to them, take a look at this. 

As hours go by, more of my posts are taking the personal route and i'm not going to try to stop them. I have always been the quiet, reserved type. The one that always smiles when he's not moody. The one that laughs to everything just to save himself from having to come up with a reply. The one that never went out of his way to talk to people. 

With all these, I should have been the lonely one, yeah? Nah! People became inquisitive. 

*What's it with this guy that is always smiling? This smiling guy looks cool. Hey, I like your smile.*

They wouldn't stop coming so I had to talk. I became the friendly one but still awfully quiet. With time, the quietness became really annoying to me (lol) so I decided I needed to do something about it. I had no idea what it was going to be but I knew something had to be done. 

Fast forward to today and I get the biggest compliment this year. @kus-knee said he loves my **sharp wit!** Wow!!! So I know what "sharp wit" means but I was so overwhelmed with a feeling I don't understand (maybe a high dose of excitement) that I went ahead to google "sharp wit" 😃🙈. I saw the meaning I already knew then as I scrolled, I saw something new.

Psychologists from Australia found out that people who answer general knowledge questions quicker always come across as being more charismatic.

Who doesn't love a charismatic person? 

As I read deeper, I began to see traces of myself in the article. The goal here is not to have the right answers but to always have an answer real quick. 

I do this a lot. I see it as a game. Many of my friends have told me before today *"you always have answers to everything"* but none of that has ever hit home the way @kus-knee 's did. 

So according to the report of the Australian psychologists, because I think on my feet and provide answers faster than others, people around me see me as being more charismatic and when i'm charismatic, I have a higher chance of impressing a date, winning over a large group of people, or charming a colleague. 

My reply doesn't have to be smart! I don't need a high IQ or Emotional Intelligence, just the ability to think and respond swiftly! 

It's amazing to see myself in the company of George Clooney, Barack Obama, and Jon Stewart. 
That's one hell of a team to be in!

## So how do you become like us? ##

**Practice.** The more you do it, the more natural it becomes. The easiest sounding board would be around those closest to you. I can freely give the dumbest replies around my friends and we'll all laugh and move on but the replies don't always have to be dumb. 
 
TV shows might also have contributed to me being this way. **The Big Bang Theory** and **How I Met Your Mother**, are the two that come to mind first. 

I am not the smartest of kids but most times, my replies will make you laugh and even when you sigh, it would be because you're amazed at how awesome I am. 

When you're thinking on your feet, you're not trying to prove that you're smart. It's about coming up with something very quickly. If you then come up with something smart very quickly, good for you, that's a plus! 

From this moment on, I can go to bed knowing i'm not totally useless just because I don't have the highest IQ or emotional intelligence. Who needs all that when I have the secret to charm the world.
