The World's Healthiest Foods List

 My favorite site for learning about healthy food is The World's Healthiest Foods by The George Mateljan Foundation. I used this site extensively when I was first learning what I should be eating instead of the garbage food I had been eating in the past. 

On the site they say: 

This is a Non-profit foundation providing:
- reliable
- scientifically accurate
- personalized information 

to help you find convenient and enjoyable healthy eating habits.

The @fitinfunfood plan for losing weight and getting healthy consists of:

- Eat more nutrition
- Eat less crap

The idea is to increase the nutrition of what you eat while reducing toxins. This can be summarized by saying:

#### Eat less processed food and eat more clean, nutritious food. 

If you are starting from a place of poor eating habits, it is not very hard to improve. The list in this linked post gives the top 100 foods you can add to your diet as you work to change. My plan is not about throwing out all your food and starting over. Instead, use this list for ideas, start small, and add a couple at each shopping trip. 

You do not have to eat all of this food. But I encourage you to work through the list and give at least some of the foods a try. You might find yourself shocked like I was when some of these foods I thought I did not like became new favorites. 

Each one of the foods on this list is linked. If you click on any of them you will come to all kinds of information about how to buy the food, cook it, and combine it with other foods for the best result. All the nutrition facts are there, if you like that kind of thing, or you can just trust that eating these foods are good choices. 

I'm not a big fan of counting while starting to change your food ways. Eating 10% better food and 10% less garbage will make a big difference over time without a lot of math. Each day, each week, and each month can be better than the last. Soon you will find wonderful changes if you never give up.
