Our mission in Urzikstan, meeting the Russian dictatorship. | CoD Modern Warfare 2019 Mission 1 (part 3) Overview (Campaign)

So far, all the operations we have done have failed, in previous operations we met Alex and Sergeant Garrick, these have been the 2 protagonists we have known so far (at least, they are the characters we have played with).

In this third operation we know Urzikstan, a city under a Russian dictatorship, we are Alex again, Commander Price sent us to the group of liberators of Urzikstan, commanded by Farah Karim and his brother Hadir.

Here things are still too realistic, this game no doubt surprises me even more as it progresses because it brings together really entertaining action while teaching things that are lived in reality. It's just a matter of being observant and detailing these things.

The mission begins with Alex in an interrogation room (or so it seems), in the same room is Farah Karim and 2 more guards accompanying her. The information we are going to give her is confidential, this is why the guards leave and we can give her the information, we explain to her that 48 hours ago the terrorists stole a cargo of Russian gas, then we will need Farah's help to be able to carry out our plan.

In the same room comes Farah's brother, Hadir, who we know quickly and will start working with us as well.

We managed to convince Farah and she will help us if we stay to help her, which we have to do and this is where we begin to know the horrible reality that people live in this city, living under a Russian dictatorship led by General Barkov.

We are in tunnels that we will use to move through the city safely, but we will not spend much time there because we will go to action soon, Farah tells us that we will have to use explosives to plan an ambush against the Barkov base.

When we leave the tunnels we will be in a house, but we will have to leave it as soon as possible to go to where we will plant the explosives (well, first we have to get the explosives), in our way towards the place we see how in the city the dictatorship is horrible, finding corpses thrown in the street (something too hard to see, I see why this game is PEGI 18).

For a moment I thought we would find Barkov directly because I thought he was part of the plan, but in the dialogues that the characters have as they walk Farah says that Barkov almost never shows up, so it was a bit confusing, but as we move forward things start to become clearer a bit more about what we want to do.

In a moment we have to separate from Farah because a guard tells us that women should go one way and men the other, but not for long. We are forced to load some blocks into a truck, but we divert to where Farah is (obviously we are talking to her through a communication device, we don't have telepathy) and we kill a guard who was blocking our way to where we want to go.

While we enter the building, we can see how a Russian soldier mistreats a woman, see what I mean by this game being too realistic? I don't remember any Call of Duty that has such explicit content as this.

After killing the soldier and continuing to advance towards some contacts of Farah, we noticed that the Russian soldiers anticipated us and arrived at the place where the contacts of Farah were, assuming that they are already dead, we advanced towards the place where they were. Obviously we can't make any noise, so before we go into action we have to look for a supressor, which we can get in one of the cars around us, so that we can kill the soldiers stealthily.

After killing them, we entered the house to find three more soldiers. The Russian soldiers were looking for the explosives that we need to carry out our plan, so after killing them we go to the fundamental part: Use the explosives.

While we're going to the place where we're going to use the explosives, we see again how horrible all this is. The way people are executed is terrible, at what point can a normal person imagine hanging a person with a crane?

After walking a bit through the city, we will arrive at a house where we will be able to observe that some helicopters are arriving, these helicopters come from the base of Barkov. It is here where we will have to fulfill our objective: to exploit the helicopters. **Why?** Simple, if we shoot down the helicopters, Barkov's people will see that as an attack, functioning as a mere distraction to be able to attack the main base of the Russians, which we will see better in part 4 (and the last part of mission 2).

Planting bombs in helicopters is not difficult at all, we just have to eliminate a few guards who are defending the targets, but nothing from the other world. So I won't talk about that part.

After we have planted the bombs in both helicopters, we will have to meet with Farah and simply blow them up. This is where it gets very intense.

After exploding the helicopters, the amount of enemy troops coming to the place is toooooo big. It would be crazy to fight them, so the best we can do in the situation is let all the troops advance and we go for a safe place (although the player also has the option to kill them all). But our problems don't finish here, we found a big number of soldiers in that place and we have to run for our lives.

We arrive at a place that I must mention here and it is only a courtyard where we find a lot of corpses, even Alex is impressed with the number of corpses that are in the courtyard, Farah explains to us that this is due to the war crimes committed by Barkov. It is ironic because in that courtyard a large number of soldiers walking towards the place of the explosions enter, we must throw ourselves on the floor and pretend to be a corpse so that the soldiers pass without them noticing us.

After escaping from these soldiers, we must run into the tunnel, which we do without any complications, but before we get there, we can see how our plan is working: More reinforcements are coming in from the base, which means the base will be even more helpless.

No doubt this Call of Duty is full of realism that makes it a tremendous game, no doubt I love this game and I am delighted to write about it. Soon I will upload the fourth (and last) part of the first mission :)
