Yesterday afternoon I looked out the window and noticed a big dark form in the top of one of the chokecherry bushes. As I looked closer I found it to be a giant woodpecker, the [Pileated Woodpecker](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pileated_woodpecker). I have not seen very many of these birds around the farm but I tend to hear them as they knock the wood of the trees up on our hill. This one though was right down near the house so I finally got a got picture of the about 16 inch tall bird.
