My Theory why “Bitcoin is Down” and being “held down”.... they want it down

Who is tired of this Bitcoin decline and continuous story of why Bitcoin is dead while the whole world is building out a “Crypto economy “.

We don’t need to see any more stories on new exchanges, or CoinBase Fund or Countries embracing crypto as a currency or LitePay or the other 999999 reasons why Cypto is “hear to stay and grow”.

But if the above is true — why is Bitcoin sideways and can’t seem to break out confounding all the chartists or rationale thinkers?

My simple conclusion is a “take off” from the Mt. Gox “dump” coincidence. There are no coincidences. THEY are trying to DELAY the rise of Bitcoin.
They are trying to TAKE your Bitcoin as you get frustrated.

BUT — the most important reason — THEY ARE NOT READY.

THEY don’t want Bitcoin going tp $20,000 or $30,000 WITHOUT THEM. That means either accumulation of BTC or exchanges not ready or index funds not ready etc.... it’s all about making sure THEM and THEIR CLIENTS getting in on the “ground floor”.

It’s simple to buy the media or a willing scmuck or traders to keep BTC down — this market is not that big..

SO they are not ready to “go ALL IN”. ...YET.

I think one of these days it’s going to be very obvious when “they are in and getting in”. They want to get in at sub $10k....not $30k while ALL of America is jumping with both feet. For now, Americans were “ready to got BTC at Christmas”....but not now.....this is what they want. They can let this market get away.

Time will tell .....we all have or own ideas. Let’s watch.

I agree.  It looks obvious from the volume that the big money is waiting for the small holders to capitulate before getting in.  I don't care how low everything goes, I'm not cashing out.  When I first started, market crashes hurt me but now I'm not bothered.  The only price that counts is when you buy and sell.  Anything in between is irrelevant.

The reality is that given the run up in prices during the last part of 2017, it will take more and more volumes to bring the prices back up.  In addition to people taking profits and all the FUD, prices have come under pressure while new participants have lagged behind.  The promise is still fundamentally there which support a longer term strategy but until regulation is not clarified to make way for institutions, we will not see another large increase in prices.  Instead, I would expect range bound trading with pressure to the downside unless more catalyst come in the form of added adoption (i.e. Amazon/Starbucks like implementation) and improved technology (i.e. Lightning network).

I agree and would add taxation policies that need to change. However, this stuff will change. People know it doesn’t happen over night.

You make perfect sense to me @floridanow. Everything is rig and manipulated where big money is involved. Bitcoin and cryptos just have to fall in line for them.

Yes I did see that and it certainly goes to part of my belief that all is being “held down” for a reason. I don’t think they want people to excited or the 2% running to 5% without their systems being place to prosper from all....IMHO.
