Building Relationships With my Daughters.

I took my daughters fishing this morning to spend some quality time together. It was a fun time!! The scenery was nice and the company was beautiful.

We got up early and made the all important trip to the gas station to get the worms and snacks. Next time I will be prepared and pack something more healthy than Soda and Gummy bears.

We all grew in one way other another. My oldest daughter, Miss K learned to thread a worm on her hook all by herself and by mid trip she was asking to bait everyone's hooks. My middle daughter, Goose learned that you can't catch fish without a hook in the water. And my youngest daughter Batgirl, learned to cast her rod all by herself, and was doing it expertly by the end of the morning.

I learned that Batgirl wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up. And that Miss K "isn't quite sure what she wants to do but knows there are so many options out there, that she'll just figure it out later." Goose wants to be a Doctor so she can help people. I also learned there is always more than one way to do something, like doing a happy dance when you bring in your fish successfully.

Batgirl landed the first fish. Miss K caught the biggest fish. And Aunt Jen caught the most and last fish. In total we caught and released 15 fish.

The girls are already asking when we can go again. I think it was a pretty successful day of building relationship together.
