it is a monstrous monster, a spider at the size of an octopus 
it is as scary as you may think it is and believe me totally lethal
you just have to use it, the right time in the right place

another rare monster, octopider belongs to the Death Splinter and its main advantage is its vast ranged attack power of 3 hit points always speaking lvl 1
if you get the monster upgraded to level 3 ,you will have the chance to use the 'demoralize' ability which will cause terror to the opponent's melee attack monsters taking down their attack points by 1
further than that octopider is a medium agility monster with a surprisingly  high life-level of 7 points 

it is a Reward card ,meaning that you can win this card while completing your daily quest
of course you can buy it from the market at the price of $0.14 which is very low for a Rare monster

Octopider is not a card i use a lot in battles
it's not an easy card, you have to know how to deal with it
it can be a strong card or a totally useless one if you don't know how and when to use it

i always check on my opponent before my decision  to summon Octopider
of course the different rules on the battles are of great importance  in the outcome you can get  and that was the case in the above battle
i got 'close range' which means ranged attack monsters could be used in first place (extremely important) and 'taking sides' which means that all Neutral monsters were disabled
Water Splinter and Earth Splinter were also disabled so i had to choose between 4 Splinters

just by the rules ,even before i check on my opponent,  i decided that i will go 'range attack' and Selenia Sky was the summoner to build my team

it was a 50 mana cap battle which gives you the space to get what ever monster you wish
most of the 'quality' range attack monsters consume many mana points which makes them a bit difficult to use them but in this specific  battle that was not the case

Selenia was the perfect summoner for the team i had in mind
her ability to give an extra range attack point to my monsters was very important 

the whole team was consisted of ranged attack monsters  and the boost from Selenia was vital

when you have so many mana points to use and you pick a legendary Dragon as a summoner it would be a pity if you don't use as a tank the Robo-Dragon Knight 
a massive monster card, a pure tank with armor and the 'void' and 'divine-shield' abilities almost unbeatable in the battlefield
in the second place another legendary monster the Vigilator..it cost me some money to purchase him from the market but i'm very proud i got him in my collection! the 'double strike' ability is his big advantage and i decided to use him in this position as support to the tank, in case my tank was lost he could very easily get the Robo-Dragon's place
third place was great for another ranged attack monster ,my Alpha Edition Lightning Dragon got ready to fight with a massive 4 attack points

in case you didn't understand i used only ranged attack monsters in the following positions 
i had that feeling that i was going to give a glorious performance with these cards 

in fourth place i placed Grim Reaper
as you know when you pick a Dragon as Summoner you have the right to choose monsters from a Splinter of your choice  except of course the Dragon Splinter
i chose the Death Splinter cause i had in mind these 2 Death Splinter's monsters, the one was Grim Reaper and the other one Octopider!
so in the fifth place i put Octopider
these two monsters had an attack power of 8 points, with the boost of Selenia's of course 
an attack power you cannot underestimate
for the last place i picked the Fire Spitter and with him my team was ready to enter the fight

- Grim Reaper lvl 1
- Octopider lvl 1
- Fire Spitter lvl 1

it was a great battle
my casualties were Robo-Dragon and the Vigilator
further than that it was an easy battle considering that my opponent was a bit stronger than me but as you have already seen may times strategy overcomes power many times
i won a descent amount of DEC for this game level  ,a total of 19 DEC and continue my journey to gather more DEC for my ultimate goal...to buy one more plot!
