I came across a website where it listed a handful of crypto faucets with varying methods of token distribution. Although the listed crypto faucets seem interesting and legitimate, I feel that there are too many of them for me to participate in. Another reason is that I'm already participating in [Noise](https://noise.cash/), a microblogging that distributes Bitcoin Cash tokens to the users for tipping.
I like the simplicity of the design and the social aspect of it. I think the developer made a clever move not to complicate it too much. Microblogging is the best aspect of Noise since many are sold with the idea of a Twitter-like experience in a crypto project. Nowadays, most social media users are geared towards the microblogging style of sharing and engagement. We are in an era where people value their time to the extent that they won't read anything beyond a minute. [Tiktok](https://www.tiktok.com/en) is an example in which the majority of the users are the younger generation. When the app was first launched, the videos were only limited to 15 seconds and it was only recently when the developer extended it 60 seconds. That 1 minute is the ultimatum of the file size of video length. But if you really go through some of the videos, you will notice that most of them are much lesser than a minute.
The way I see it, the not-so-secret sauce for social media success is that it has to be quick, fast, and entertaining. With those points then the platform will be super niche; a place of a few dedicated users.
The other thing that makes Noise really interesting is the $tip!
Based on my experience, the way it works is that the system provides Free $tips to the users. Noise encourages you to utilize those free $tips and gives them to other users. As you tip other users, you are also taking a part of the $tip as your commission. The default rate is 20% but you may change it up to 80% which would mean more for you.
More for you doesn't necessarily mean good for you in the long term. As you take more of the $tip, the system will provide you with lesser free $tips each day.
Up until now, I only tested 20% & 50% commission. And it feels like Noise is giving more free $tips whenever I go for the 20% commission rate. Of course, there are none stated about it in Noise and so I can't really prove.
However, the mysterious aspect of it makes me feel compelled to peel each layer of it until I find the truth about it. I might not reach that extent since the website is not an open-source development and it's also centralized. Anyway, that's beyond my reach and so I won't dig that far.
So, what makes Noise a good platform to participate in?

The $tips are nice but the more valuable feature of it is that I can promote a post or another platform that I'm participating in. I observed that many of the users of noise are less exposed to the social blockchain platforms. Also, there are uses of Noise that are also participating in other crypto platforms. What I trying to say is that Noise peeps could be a consumer of content for projects like Blurt, Hive, Leofinaince, and Steemit.
And, I also feel like some of them are looking for a platform where they can invest the BCH tokens that they earn from Noise.
So, that concludes my thoughts about Nois.cash,and the distribution of its rewards.
