What’s Going On With Ethereum’s Upgrade?
You may have [read]( https://ethereumworldnews.com/ethereum-constantinople-blockchain-upgrade-delayed-until-2019/) recently that Ethereum is delaying the Constantinople upgrade until 2019.

Let’s see what’s going on.

Constantinople is the second half of the Metropolis upgrade. The first half, called Byzantium, went off without a hitch this time last year.

Check out the roadmap below for reference.

The Constantinople upgrade was on testnet starting October 13, but quickly ran into problems.

Apparently the hard fork stalled and even after resuming was not processing transactions.

About a week later the news came out Constantinople will be delayed until January 2019 at the earliest.

Constantinople is important because it paves the way for Ethereum transitioning from PoW to PoS.

Overall the Ethereum developers agreed it’s better to “not to move faster, but safer.”

I agree with that sentiment.
