 **One of the world's prominent Bitcoin enthusiasts and venture capitalists, Tim Draper, has predicted that Bitcoin will hit $250k by 2023.** Draper made his controversial [prediction](https://www.google.com/amp/s/todaysgazette.com/better-buy-now-before-it-gets-to-250k-tim-draper-on-bitcoin/amp/) in a recent interview with Forklog where he claimed that by 2023 the crypto space would have witnessed a mass adoption that will exponentially increase the value of Bitcoin. He further claimed that a younger generation that will trust crypto more than fiat will soon emerge. If Draper's prediction comes through, Bitcoin would have by 2023 have a market capitalization of about 5 trillion dollars, which is presently about 5% of the world's economy. While I have a lot of doubt about Draper's jumbo prediction, I can only hope that he turns out right. Greetings dear @gandhibaba. These approaches of Draper are not so far-fetched. The evolution of the world economy since the appearance of Bitcoin has brought phenomena that nobody could have imagined. And this started in 2009 when the first block was registered (Genesis Block). If we consider that the change advances exponentially, we can not be surprised by such a statement. Currently, cryptocurrencies take FIAT as a reference and rely on it. But as one friend of mine said: "... the turning point will come when the FIAT is backed up in Crypto". What do you think about this? All best, Piotr.
