Greetings community. Today I want to introduce my feline partner, cause as the Catgirl I am, I must have my own small masterpiece in movement as Da Vinci used to define cats. I will write about cats in other opportunity, today, my writing is dedicated to the small tiger that lives and shares with me. She is very unequalled. This is her story.

For three days I was listening a little catlike voice, that shrill and insistent voice came out from the air conditioning exit tube of the office I was working in. On day three my friend Fabiana from the depot area, found the kitty and put it in a box. She told me about and I said to bring it at 6:30, our exit hour, so I could take it home and tomorrow take it to the pet store, they will find a home for that cat. At 6:30 she came with the box, I took the kitty out to give it a look, it was about one month of age and I said “Oh, what a pretty kitty. It´s a girl”. Is Thursday, August 31, 2011. I forgot to tell you how is she. It´s white with a grey striped design and by that time her eyes where sky blue and her small body were pretty compact.

During the short way home I was walking with the box in one hand while with the other I was trying to contain the kitty that was miaowing and jumping to go out from the box. At home, I took her out of the box and put her in front of Linda, my black cat and the queen of the house, to introduce one to another, the kitty walked innocently close to Linda and she gave her such a slap the poor kitty went running away and hide under a bed. She didn´t want to come out so I left a plate of milk and went to the living room to have dinner and watch tv, suddenly I heard someone drinking the milk hehe. Later I sat with her and checked that small body for fleas, there were a lot of fleas haha, she get relaxed and then I put her to sleep in the bathroom. She was lovely! I called my sister, who was living and working in Caracas and used to came on weekends, and told her, she get excited and begged me to wait for her to come and then take it to the pet store because she wanted to see the kitty.

The next day, when I went to the bathroom she was super active and hungry. My sister came Friday evening, she saw her and said “What´s that?” And of course she liked the kitty who became the center of attention that weekend. In just one day she learned to use the litter box. There was no doubt about how was her personality, playful, tender, very smart, troublesome, adventurous and hungry haha. She has only four days in the house and I feel that I love her. Is Monday and my sister returns to Caracas early in the morning, before that, she says goodbye to the kitty thinking that I will take the cat for adoption and that it won´t be in the house for next weekend.

The truth is that from the first day I thought to keep her, she conquered me, although inside me I was trying to convince myself to don´t love her, but that didn´t work much I´ll say haha. During that week, she get used to me and I fell in love with her, I said to myself “this kitty was for me”. Almost all day she stayed alone, except for the hour I went home for lunch, at afternoon when I came form work, the little cat wanted everything, eat, play, chase me, mewing to me, get on my shoulder and put her head in my dinner while I tried to eat with my plate on the air haha, well, she wanted everything. At night, she slept on my legs while I watched tv. That week I made my decision. She stays!

Now we have two cats, Linda and…jmm, she needs a name, I didn´t think about so much although no name came to me. By that time, I had a play on words with a coworker, we used a nickname to talk to each other, Ze pequeño, obviously allusive to the popular brasilian movie “City of God”, “Good morning Ze pequeño”, “Hey Ze pequeño”, “See you tomorrow Ze pequeño”, etc., I don´t know why, one day, playing with the kitty and observing how scoundrel, sly, mischievous, crazy and sharp she was, occured to me to call her that way, Ze pequeña (´cause it´s a girl). And it stayed.

Today Ze pequeña is 8 years old, is a huge and beautiful cat, people say she looks like a tiger and I think that she likes to hear that. She has a very peculiar personality, she is very smart and knows how to solve some situations, she likes to be with be in my room listening rock music while sleeps in my bed (or should I say hers?). Ze pequeña loves to eat and her inner watch doesn´t put back a second when time for serve comes. She is a bit unfriendly and not very affectionate but at the same time she is excessively tender and doesn´t put resistence when I kiss and cuddle her although she makes meme faces hahaha. I have bought her many supposed “sofisticated” cat toys but she just loves to play with a wire ahaha, she hates when I rebuke her and starts to howl, to blow hard from her nose and tries to attack me. When she sleeps she likes to hug the bed, pillow, chair or whatever is close. Ze pequeña is very curious and she´s always searching for risky adventures, most of all if she´s bored or hungry. Sometimes when I´m cleaning fish and she wants, she´s capable to jump from the floor over my shoulder to make me understand that I must give her. My mom has a nickname for her, “Makako” and when she calls her, she melts like jell and lays down on the floor. She hates to see that you put your foot on her face, if you do that, considere yourself dead man haha.

My sisters says that Ze pequeña “looks like me the same”, although I´m thin and she´s not. I don´t know why but her two middle front fingers are always dirty. I never have bath her but she always smells like new wool ball. She loves heights and go on the high part of my closet. She hates guitars. She likes to sleep and one of her favorite places to do it is on my computer´s table where she barely fits but she doesn´t care. She likes to enter to the bathroom with me because she jumps over the sink, scratches the soap and then licks her fingers, I mean, she likes to eat soap haha. If a box is around she will inspectionate it, doesn´t matter if it´s half her size. She is a gecko hunter, at least I saw them first and save them. When Ze pequeña knows that our lunch is something she likes, she starts her blackmail game, get on the windows (we live on the 4th floor) and do the cat walk on the outside part because she knows that we get nervous when she does that so we will offer her food, she will get down and at the same time she will get her own way. Stubborn like no one. She has some beautiful spots on her left cheek I love and her nose is brick red. She is the queen of the sleeping poses. She is spongy like a plush and her fur is as soft as a kitty´s. When she wants something in particular or feels caring she mews like a lion cub. She likes to lick plastic bags. Ze pequeña does something really funny things. Kids feel attracted to her. She has fallen four times from 4th floor, fortunately no wounds to worry about. The first time from the windows (I supposed she slides) and the last three probably trying to catch bats on the balcony while she was contemplating the starry night.

I love to sink my nose in her neck and listen her strong purring. Ze pequeña is my best friend and partner. She is like I use to say, the most tender and the most beautiful cat and according to my sister, “the most crazy too” hahaha, she is the favourite of all children and my favourite too.
