Paddling the Orange River
A river born in the highlands of Lesotho.

It's South Africa's Nile, that descends from the Drakensberg, winds through the highveld grasslands, into the Kalahari desert and forms the border between SA and Namibia for its last stretch through the Richtersveld, the Sperrgebiet (forbidden diamond area) while carrying diamonds to the sea...


You can take white water rafting expeditions, but when we did it, it turned out to be a paddle most of the time, due to the low water levels from the extended drought.

Packing the two person crocks (inflatables) at Bundi adventures, filled with expectation for the adventures ahead.

Wow!! I did this a few year back with my family. The Orange River is stunning!!
We slept under the stars by night and paddled in the day. Was definitely one of the best holidays I've had :)
