Are you a Nigerian and you haven't heard of Project **Bigwaves** then you have been missing a lot. Project Bigwaves, an initiative by steemit veterans @donkeypong, @hanshotfirst, and @infovore. The project is visioned at supporting the growth of Nigerians on steemit.

The steemit virus is composed of Nigerian curators @fisteganos, @ogoowinner, @ehiboss, @destinysaid and @gbenga. 

looking at this [post](https://steemit.com/steemit/@gavvet/a-look-back-in-time-to-where-we-are-now) Nigerians on steemit is said to have risen to a population of 16,231 steemians and from [this](https://steemit.com/nigeria/@onequality/what-s-trending-nigeria-01) the  #nigeria tag is said to have  477 posts, 374 comments and 8,515.453 SBD as authors reward.

Comparing the two posts and the vision for #bigwaves, the total number of Nigerian steemians using the #nigeria tag is about 3% of the total population.

Project Bigwaves is not meant for a particular set of Nigerians, it is meant for every Nigerian provided you comply with the project's guidelines

Moreso, project **bigwaves** is interested in helping Nigerians to improve their writing skills and the Nigerian curators have been working on several projects in other to help nigerians improve in this aspect.

The main purpose of writing this post is to spread the gospel of using the #nigeria tag to every Nigerian on steemit. In other to accomplish this, I want to implore Nigerians to spread the gospel of using the tag. This will help the curating easier and more effective.
