The level of pride and ego displayed by people in these generation is indeed questioning, it looks as if everyone has been taught to display an art of arrogance.
Humility is necessary for the attainment of success in life, it is important to learn the act of humility and display it also.
In order to attain greatness in life, humility is more than necessary.

In Africa, respect is not taken for granted at all, the young ones must see it as a priority to pay proper respect to the elders and accord them their honour accordingly.
In some part of Africa, the younger ones are not allowed to call the elder ones by name,respect must be accorded and as such a tone of respect such as: uncle and aunty must be added to their names to show that they are respected by the younger ones.

In some other part the younger one must not be caught standing and greeting, the ladies will kneel while the male gender to prostrate, in those areas that is the way respect is described.
On such areas, your inability to flow with the culture and show respect to elders makes you a proud person.

I have discovered however that pride comes in different levels.
Some people's level of pride, makes them never to say sorry to anyone even when they know that they are at fault, they believe they are not supposed to make apologies irrespective of what the condition will be.

Pride also makes some people feel that they are above everyone else, it makes them feel uncontrollable and irreplaceable.

* Pride could destroy all that you have ever worked for.
* Pride makes you loose important opportunities.

* Pride will make you think you are moving forward while you are still stagnant.

* The moment you begin to assume you know everything.
* When you feel you are too big to carry out assigned tasks and assignments.
* When you feel to proud to ask for help from anyone.
* When you feel you can teach everyone and no one can teach you.
* When you begin to talk too much about yourself.
* When you feel too big to be corrected.

### What Humility Does to You.

* Humility provides you with opportunities.
* Humility eliminates barriers.
* Humility makes you a better person.
* Humility provides more opportunities to learn.
* Humility improves your strength.
* Humility makes you a better person everyday.
