Collage workshop, 2017-218 circa.Part 5.

_Since 2010 i have been organizing collage workshops for people who like art and want to make something creative and rather simple. I have my own __collage technique__ based on the stained glass art and since my early days in art i managed to find a way of making it a lesson. My workshops last for __three months__ and each student makes one artwork per month. Even though i expected artists to take part at my workshops, all of my students are people who are looking to make a beautiful craft work and relax their mind through the creative process._

Another student this time but as creative as the previous one. She chose a very famous image of __Frida Kalo__ from a colouring book and remix it in a collage. She wanted to take a different approach than the usual and i encouraged her because she showed great care in her creations so far.

She chose __coloured paper__ of various different hues and started cutting them with the use of the sketch as a guide. The goal was to create a set of coloured layers and assemble them to give the collage depth, make it a little more 3D. It was a really tiring process for her because she had to sketch and cut from the back side of the paper in order to keep the front side as a clean as it can be. So everything was in reverse and lot of testing was needed before assembly.

Another interesting detail that makes this artwork unique is the use of __metallic coloured paper__. A variety of green, red, silver and blue, all of them highly reflective, change with every move and give the feeling of motion. Very inventive idea.
