Last time , I was talk about the Heritage Exhibition of a Traditional Pawnshop Business, keep walking the road next to the Exhibition, I found another Exhibition introducing the traditional crafts of wood.

Here are some tools for wood making, maybe a wood furniture, wood toy, or wood house.

Skylight, holding the long ropes and pull them downwards ,you can open the it , adjust the position where the indentation is seized by the horizontal shaft then you can open the window to various extents.

If you want to close it ,just hold the ropes and pull more so that the rod indentation separates from the horizontal shaft ,loosen the ropes slowly till the skylight close.

The stairs are use a technique name "mortise-and-tenon" socket joint, they didn't use any nail to combine the wood, in old China, many houses are use this technique, but now , almost be lost, just a few people know about this technique.

In China, there is a very famous carpenter call Lu Ban , this exhibition is mainly introduce his invention and technique.

I think you will be interesting in this lock , its name called Lu Ban Lock.

Woodwork masters use this intelligent toy to train their apprentices. It's composed of six wooden sticks ,the lock features the principles behind the "mortise and tenon" socket joint invented by Lu Ban.

When you walk in , you should see some people standing here , what are they doing ? they are trying to combine the six stick to the lock as the right one.

I also tried ,but I spend a long time ,still failed , maybe you can try and success to combine them.
