In the spiritual life we ​​also have the "towers" of vigil, which are those people who position themselves and prepare themselves in prayer for us. In the natural world, these towers can be seen, because they are tall. However, in the spiritual world, although they are great in the eyes of God, they almost do not appear. Many do not realize they are close. And few are those who recognize its value.

Finding a "tower" of vigil is not an easy task, since few people embrace this great ministry with disposition. But still, it is possible to find spiritual warriors, ready for battle. It is enough to perceive those who pray before the beginning of each cult, who always arrive earlier and pray for everything: from the sound of sound to the preacher of the night. Some practically do not attend the service, because they are confined in a small room, covering the life of the pastor and the whole congregation with prayer. Not counting the several dawns that spend awake, in sentinel, watching and praying for the life of another.

It is very good when someone comes near us and says: "I have prayed for you!" That gives us security, makes us perceive the care of God in raising intercessors, in raising "towers" of vigil.

The most interesting, however, is to perceive that prayers come, many times, through whom we least expect. This is how God does, lift up those who pass near us and we do not always salute right.

These are the columns of spiritual support of any ministry, be it pastoral, praise, children ... They do not cease to watch over the "security" of the Kingdom.

The lesson of the Teacher

One of the most significant events that shows the importance of being in prayer for one another is narrated in the Gospel of Matthew 26.36-45 - when Jesus, together with his disciples, goes to a place called Gethsemane. Christ brought his closest disciples, for support and consolation. Jesus told his disciples: "Stay here and watch with me." However, the Master was very disappointed. For three times He found those he had as waking "towers", sleeping. At one point He questioned one of his disciples, named Peter: "Then, not one hour could you watch with me?" We can imagine how sad and distressing it was for Jesus to see that scene more than once. Jesus, at the time when he most needed, could not count on his disciples.

May we rise as "towers" of watchfulness also, interceding for one another in love. The lesson was already left by the Master, it is enough to put it into practice.</center>
