Are we not more than marriage?

Hello everyone,

A long time friend of mine who happens to be a guy messaged me this evening and i was glad to see his message. The next thing he asked me was am I married now? Here in Nigeria, marriage is a big deal and I believe thats how it is mostly in Africa. But why is it one sided? Why is it falling on ladies alone? Most guys here believe after school (1st degree) the next achievement for a lady is to get married.

Are we not more than marriage? Cant we achieve something great too even more than guys? I can remember many times I've been called and asked mostly from guys if im the one actually making all my arts, if im the one that actually draw all the arts i post because its mostly guys that draws here in Nigeria. Only few ladies draw so its tagged 'a guy thing'.

Although i cant really blame those guys because some ladies are the reasons this happen. After school instead of pursuing a career, the next things they are all running after is marriage when they know they cant support a family yet. They depend solely on their husband which is wrong. This act has made these guys to think we are not more than marriage but i will say I AM MORE THAN MARRIAGE.
