I am not sure of the actual figures, but at least hundreds of thousands of people visit Krabi every year.  Most of the people head to the stunning beaches of the area and spend a lot of time in the sun.  However, there is some pretty incredible nature available away from the beach that is worth seeing as well.  One of these is Hang Nak Hill, which isn't advertised really at all and most people never make it to.

The entrance of this national park doesn't appear very enticing and that could be improved I suppose and getting to the top is a lot of work, but once you make this 2 hour or so hike to the top, you will be rewarded with some of the best views that the area has to offer, including a very popular-to-take-photos-at cliff at the end.

The path to the top is actually quite amusing because at the beginning it is paved, then the pavement turns into a cleared path with stones, and then it's just a cleared path, towards the end it isn't even terribly evident where you are supposed to go.  I think they had grand plans for this and then realized it was too difficult to build and they just quit.

This isn't to suggest that visitors should bypass this attraction but you should make sure you are in reasonably good shape and wear proper shoes.  Also, bring plenty of water and maybe a snack because it gets really hot in Thailand and there isn't exactly a snack bar half way up.  Don't leave too late either, because the park staff likely won't even address you upon arriving here and wont advise you to not go if it is too late.  Trust me, you do not want to be stuck in the jungle in the dark when the path is already a bit tough to identify.  

One massive benefit of this park is that they don't charge anything to get into it, which is a real problem in Thailand where most national parks charge what I believe to be entirely too much to get in.

Once you've done this trek you will have a real sense of accomplishment and will have seen something that a vast majority of the people who visit Krabi didn't go see.  Also, at the bottom there is an amazing beach called Tup Kaek that you can cool off at.
