# Introduction 

Good morning everyone here. How was our nights. I am sure it was nice being renewed from the previous day's hectic activities. It gladens my heart to be among the Steemians and to engage in activities that add value to my life and that of others.  Guess what I did after my thank you prayer as I got up from bed - I took two glasses of water. I urge you, my fellow Steemians to read on and see my reasons.

"Water is King".  Therefore, it is paramount  to healthy living. "Many people believe that it is only when you are thirsty or hot that you can go for it. But findings show that taking enough of it at least 1.5 litres first thing in the morning makes a big difference."


There is no doubt that our body repairs itself while we are sleeping for almost seven or eight hours and it is done without food or fluid. Hence, the best way to break this fast is by taking in liquids instead swallowing heavy food like rice, yam or other carbohydrates. The following  reasons  gives us ample evidence of engaging in this morning ritual.


#  It Absorbs Nutrients And Purifies the Colon:
Early morning water intake helps the body  to cleanse the colon making  way for many nutrients to be easily absorbed by the body during the rest of  the day.  

This process is vital as healthy colon lead to increase in healthy living thereby reducing constipation,  removes bad breath and removes tiredness and fatigue.


# Help in Weight Loss
Drinking at least  two glasses of water on empty stomach makes you feel fuller faster and longer thus reducing hunger and craving for more food. 


# Improves Skin Complexion:
The cleansing functions of water also affect the skin positively as it releases toxins through the bowels, causing the skin to glow. This process keep blood flowing to the skin and thereby releasing  these toxins through sweating. 


Here is a remedy  to buying expensive skin care products. Just drink water first thing in the morning and get a glowing beautiful skin.

# Conclusion:
I  really appreciate this free gift of nature  - water and come to a conclusion  that as I engage in this morning  ritual  at least drinking  two glasses on empty stomach improves my health and my overall long-term health.
