## The song is titled as such
as this was going to be another Splinterlands inspired song, but I wound up completely doing something else, so I left the title and image but kept rolling with the new ideas. I recently downloaded a new set of audio clips/loops from Pure Magnetik, consisting of a bunch of lo-fi tape loops. If you're interested, you can download the kit [here](https://puremagnetik.com/collections/free-ableton-live-packs-instrument-racks-samples/products/kleine-stuecke). I normally don't use samples to build the bulk of my songs, generally just for transitions or accents, but sometimes it's fun to just see what I can come up with as a little exercise.

## The worst part about
audio clips is that I can't really include screenshots that are relevant, like I can with the midi piano-roll, so the posts wind up being a bit short. Tracks 1-3 are the clips, all from the aforementioned set, chopped up a bit, and pit corrected at some points so it feels a bit more harmonic. I also wanted to add some drums, so I used an Impulse kit, which has a bit of a lo-fi quality, though I don't particularly love the result, so if I keep working on this, those drums will definitely be the first to go. I also added a synth sound from Spitfire Audio's LABS, which is pictured below. I like the melody, but it doesn't really fit with the lo-fi vibe.

### Overall, I'm not sure if I want to keep working on this; I like the general idea, but I'm not that sure that an entire song could be built out of the lo-fi loops. Perhaps this could just be for an introduction, or an outro of some kind. At some point, I feel like the cut-off needs to increase, and this becomes a real, clear sounding track, but alas, it's samples, so can't do that, hehe.
