A shadow does not last long, but its presence is a proof that there's a real image that can't be quenched by mere weather. In the same truth, the physical life, which is temporary, is a shadow of the real life: THE ETERNAL LIFE. This is the truth, that after this physical life, we will experience a life that can't be terminated by sickness, accident, enemies or natural occurrences. This eternal life is a product of revelatory knowledge of Divinity. In order to enjoy eternity with Christ, we must know Him.
This knowledge is not head knowledge, but a deep spiritual knowledge of His nature and Spiritual disposition of His image as the only true God. It's critical because this knowledge brings an end to a search for alternative sources of help or comfort. It's a domain of a total surrender to only Christ, even when things don't happen as we planned or in the presence of other options.
Since the intimate knowledge of the Almighty God and Christ is the bedrock for eternity with Christ, we must seek to know Him more daily. It's dangerous to slack in this knowledge, for nothing else really matters on earth than knowing Jesus.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your knowledge in us. Please help us to know you more and deliver the lost from their ignorance, in Jesus name. Amen
