# What is Snax?

According to their FAQ section, 

>Snax is a blockchain platform. It was created for people to receive rewards for their social activity (tweets, Instagram posts, and so on) and to make instant free micropayments without leaving their favorite social platform. Developers can use Snax blockchain to create decentralized social applications (social dApps).

## Ok, But What Exactly Does That Mean?

Well, that means that you can link your other Social Media posts to you Snax account and receive SNAX tokens as a reward for the quality content that you already create. That means that your Steem, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts can earn you SNAX rewards. Currently Snax only works with Steem and Twitter, but other Social Media platforms are coming. 

## What Kind of Rewards Can I Get?
You can get 50 SNAX tokens just for signing up. And to promote the addition of Steem to the list of supported platforms, they are currently running a bounty program to encourage Steem users to get the word out about Snax.

After you sign up, you are eligible for part of the Regular Publisher Rewards. The Whitepaper is a little vague on how these are earned, but the gist is that the more you post on linked platforms and the more upvote/likes your posts get, the more SNAX tokens you receive.

Right now, SNAX tokens are not listed on any exchange, so they have no value. The roadmap calls for listing of the SNAX token on exchanges in the later part of this year. But remember, once you sign up and link your accounts, you will be receiving SNAX automatically for posts you already are making to your Steem and Twitter accounts.

## How Do I Sign Up?

To sign up, just go to https://snax.one/. You will need to install the Snax Extension

which you can download automatically from the Chrome Web Store

 to create an account. 

Then just authenticate your account by making a Steem or Twitter post and your ready to go. Once you have authenticated with one social media account, you can bind your other account to your Snax account.
