Hello children of the caves, I'm back with more digital art, again illustrating commissions for @smanuels. Today I bring you a strange and lonely creature, a stone-like and terrifying dragon, a personification of his environment in charge of protecting the mysteries hidden in the subway caverns.
</p><p>
This intimidating and wild creature can even fly, yes, don't let its rocky appearance fool you, its wings have an incredible elasticity, but obviously its resistance is greater, since in reality its cover is completely made of stone, giving it a very high defense against its attackers. Face the avatar of the caves and enter the mysteries of this illustration.

<center><h4>-Step 1:</h4></center>
<p>Start sketching the dragon with the common form that characterizes them, the appearance of this is known as wyvern, which are winged creatures that only have legs in the back and their wings are where their front legs should be, but this avatar in particular has a special feature apart from its rocky skin, has two tails, which I guess used in battle in the confined environments of the caves.

<p><center><h4>-Step 2:</h4></center></p>
<p>With a hard textured brush, begin the construction of the cave, exploring different shades of color to simulate the rocks and darkness of the environment. 
</p>

<p><center><h4>-Step 3:</h4></center></p>
<p>
With the tool "gradient map", modify the colors of the dragon, yes, its rocky appearance should be gray, but giving the character background, you could say that the humidity of the caves, along with its longevity and low lighting of the cave give it a more greenish coloring.</p>

<p><center><h4>-Step 4:</h4></center></p>
<p>The main colors are ready, it's time to add the little details, for this I have used very hard textured princesses, with which I simulate the rocky appearance of both the dragon and the walls of the caves. With the "overlay" and "soft light" fusion modes, I added the glows that would make the dragon stand out, taking into account that the light enters from some point at the top, so its legs and some parts of its body permeate a little in the shadows.
