Recycling The Sad State Of Affairs | Blue Collar Keeps It Green

My motocycle shop is in a building with 2 other auto mechanic shops.  Once a year we clean up all the junk parts we have accumulated and take them to the scrap yard for recycling.  Most of it is steel but there is aluminium as well.  

This year we had 1600 lbs of scrap that brought us a whopping $130 USD.  

Here is the sad part.  

In talking the the recycle plant workers..........ALL of their steel goes overseas.   It is cheaper for them to ship scrap to China to be forged into steel and then shipped back to the US than it is to just forge it here stateside.  How sad is that?  

Anyone want to startup a blockchain solution to start manufacturing steel in the United States again?  

The once great Industrial Revolution powerhouse that was the United States is now too lazy to make our own steel.
