These days, young people engage in a lot of activities that are harmful to them and the minute you stand to talk against it or advise them to tread on a better path, they call you nosy and old fashioned. Even when elderly people like their parents and other elderly relatives try to talk to them, they see it as some nosy people trying to stop me them from living their lives. But unknown to them, all these people are just good people that are aware of the consequences that may follow their bad ways and simply want to save them from it but they won't let them.

I remember little children in my neighborhood who behave exactly like this. Their parents will talk and shout at them but no change. They saw their parents as bugs and mood killers ruining their exciting lives. It only took a few months and they reported in hospitals for antenatal clinic. Pregnant at 15yrs of age and some even had to resolve to abortions. Sometimes I wonder why it is so difficult for young people to listen to the advice of elderly people who once went through what you are going through and know the pitholes involved.

They choose to learn their lesson the hard way and end up destroying their lives in the process. I remember a good number of my class mates who dropped out of school because they got pregnant or impregnated a girl and had to take up responsibilities. 
Why the hurry?
Is a question I always ask myself. 
Humans are so funny when you look at it. You find young people in a haste to engage in adult living and give it a few years when they are older, they begin wishing they were young. That is how funny the human race can be at times.

Well, others are facing the consequences of their actions and are facing reality in a cruel way and yet, others still fail to learn from their mistakes and still get themselves involved in inappropriate activities and behaviour. The truth is, there are consequences that follow our every actions and decisions and they can be positive or negative depending on what you choose. No matter what your choice may be, you must be ready to face the consequences when they come knocking.
