<center>[Pixabay](https://pixabay.com/photos/bible-worship-christian-religious-1948778/)</center> Worship is a vital aspect of reverencing God, appreciating him and expressing yourself to him. This open show of adoration and inner connection cannot be established without a revelation. What I am saying is, we worship God based on our revelation of who he is. Worshipping God without a revelation of who he is to you renders your worship empty. Doing anything without a reason as to why you are doing it makes it is funny. There are people who worship God but the truth is, they just do so because they see others doing it or have been asked to. That is not the spirit of worship. Scripture says in Jn 4:24 that God is looking for they that will worship him in spirit and in truth. To worship him in this way requires revelation, connection and a sincere desire to worship him. When I was young, I never really understood why someone in church was crying while worshipping, others were lying face down while worshipping. All these reactions were strange to me and at one point funny. That is why scripture says when I was a child, I behaved and acted as a child but now that I am a Man, I have to act like one. I have come to understand that, people connect to God in different ways especially when you observe worship sessions. Someone who has a reason to worship God will do it differently than someone who is just doing it because others are doing so. The spirit of worship immerses us in a dimension that makes us feel the presence of God, that makes us feel like we are standing in the throne room. The spirit of worship is what will create that connection between earth and heaven. When you are so immersed in the spirit of worship, it takes you to a place that you hardly want to come out from. I have been so touched by this song of worship by **Zimpraise** titled **The Revival Song**. It is such a powerful song, a prayer and a request of a more of God in our life to revive us again.
