One Punch Man - I've seen only one episode and it's not all, but I have known this title for a long time before it became so popular in the world. This is due to the fact that the scanning group, in which I once worked briefly, took this title after the publication of chapter 1. We laughed at the author's ingenuity, his sense of humor, and admired the spectacular frames. Anime apparently does not reflect their beauty (especially the second season, which was done quickly and anyhow, as a result, most episodes were reportedly wasted), but that's just normal. If the mangaka draws too beautifully and in too much detail, then the anime has very little chance to match it. Feature film is easier, but there is no guarantee of success. It's simply easier to draw something than to paint and animate without losing quality or fluidity. Hence, I recommend the manga more, especially as it is published on the Polish market. In addition, there will be a live-action movie from Sony, and since the anime is available with a few mouse clicks, it's worth watching them. And, I forgot about the story, as the title suggests, is about a guy who smashes everything with one blow. It doesn't matter if these are giant monsters, extraterrestrials, or other superheroes. The protagonist is such a nice silly man who admits that he does not sin with intelligence, but has a good heart and is nice. I do not know if his character develops in the remaining episodes, the more I do not know what the case with the script looks like (i.e. does he have any more serious threads, is he limited only to comedy and quick smashing opponents), but if you are looking for a good comedy, OPM has more fans than people who have bounced back from it. At least, that's what I see from reviews on the internet or among my friends.

Death Note - I recommend it for the same reasons that I wrote in my text about the best anime to start with. I do not recommend it to viewers who have already seen a lot of anime, but if you don't have many titles on your account, it's worth giving a chance. The story is about a talented and ambitious student who one day finds a mysterious notebook. As it turns out, this find belongs to the God of Death and allows us to kill any person on the globe in almost any way. Unusual deaths catch the attention of a mysterious detective, such a celebrity among the best detectives, elite units like Scotland Yard, etc. L, because that's the name of a detective, declares war on the killer and promises to bring him to justice. The plot looks intriguing, has great potential for an interesting series with many twists and turns, so why am I complaining about it so much? For two reasons - it could have been done better and it could have been better thought through. The first complaint is that the series has little to offer, as we watch it. Ok, this can be said for many movies or TV series of this genre, but there are no story holes in them. You say - after all, there are many such films and series ... Possible, that's why I avoid these worse series based on surprises and twists. Nevertheless, the first time it is watched quite well. Instead of watching DN for the second time, fire it up. You just have to have a lot of free time, because the series draws you like drugs ;). https://www.crunchyroll.com/kaiji

![jojo.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmaS1BTXY9HyRpvWf9PKJywKcc1ZzUzj5XaZTFBU2ygRkz/jojo.jpg)

Jojo's Bizzare Adventure - A title I was once fascinated with, but my love ran out at the end of season 2. Part 4, season 3, I didn't like it anymore. Ie. it was cool, I enjoyed watching it, I felt that I was wasting my time a bit, but not because of its low level, but because of my boredom topic. Alternatively, there is a second option, I was mainly interested in the topic of Dio and the Joestar family, and superpowers, awesome openings, endings, and absurd situations were just a nice addition. Well, on Netflix there are only those seasons that I like, so I'll talk about them. The plot of the first begins in 1868 when Dario Brando saves the life of an English aristocrat. Brando died and his only son became an orphan. It did not last long, however, because George Joestar still feels his father's debt. A few years pass, George's son and descendant Dario has grown up, basically, they both became big fibroids. Jonathan is an overly good, even Angel in human skin, Dio, in turn, is his complete opposite. Pure evil, the worst man of the worst, one who does not need any justification to hurt others. However, both of them are extremely flat and shallow characters. Around the same time, a mysterious mask appears, which forever changes the lives of Dio and the entire Joestar family. Have you noticed the familiar name? And there are plenty of such references to movies, pop culture or famous rockmen, etc. In the fourth paragraph, there is even a reference to Dragon Ball - the two Stands, which I will talk about in a moment, resemble two characters. I mean Cella and Freezer. I do not mention bands and singers, because I forgot many of them, and I missed some of them. I don't remember why, but some of them were censored. I may be wrong, but something dawns on me that someone more competent than me said it was copyright.

In the first season, the characters fight with their bare fists, Ripple (energy like ki/chakra, but based on slightly different assumptions) and some other, irrelevant powers in total. With the second season, however, there will be another way of fighting, which continues in the manga to this day. These are Stands, ghosts with special skills that only their other owners see. The exception is Stands in physical form, but these are rare. I don't know how true this is, but apparently, from party to party, the ghosts have more and more powerful powers. For example, Rohan Kishibe is in season 3. Mangaka, whom Heaven's Door allows him to turn others into books and read their next moves. You can also influence the character's movements if we add a few frames. Whatever was written in it always came true, though not necessarily in this form, as the author of the note thought. Dio has The World - a melee stand that allows you to stop the time (for everyone except The World owner). Joseph Joestar as a grandfather has Hermit Purple (weak, but has several skills, can bind someone or retrieve information, think a picture, location, etc.). His grandson is, in turn, the owner of Star Platinum - a ghost with millisecond response time, super strength, and surgical precision of movements. As you can see, the powers are various. From super strong ones, because they are clearly weaker. But among others, that's why it's so nice to watch anime. Each part has a fairly predictable final, but when it comes to it, it's a crazy ride without a handle. Although a bit slower and less extreme than what we will see in "Baki".

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - If I had to limit myself to two sentences, my recommendation would look simple - it's the best manga in DB climates (adventure, work on yourself, fighting) that has ever been created. The plot is brilliant, stands out above its genre, and the fights are extremely cool. Oh, a woman is responsible for FMA, not a guy, so as part of complaining about some that women are unable to grasp such manga. There were supposed to be two sentences, but why limit yourself? The story is about two brothers who lost their pride, respectively - the whole body and part of it. To recover them, they are ready to go around the world, check all possible solutions, and do a lot. In order for them to do it faster and easier, they must pass the state alchemist exam. Alchemy is roughly the equivalent of Ki, Chakra Nen (the power characteristic of this genre of Japanese comics), but a bit more complicated. If you want to read more about it, I invite you to my texts about this anime, where exactly I explain it.

When it comes to line and animation, anime doesn't get old at all. It is still very impressive and only after some (in addition short) fragments can you see a slight drop in level. The fights are beautifully animated, be it downright or at a distance using various types of alchemy (elements, summoners, creating weapons, walls, or other useful items), and feel the strength and speed of the character. Most battle-shonen manga/adventure games don't have a driveway to the masterpiece of Hiromu Arakawa, whether on the battlefield or the plot level. While in terms of duels you can still argue, if you choose the right examples from DB, HxH, OP or "Naruto" at a time when he was a good comic, the FMA massacres every manga known to me from the genre, like Fedor Jemieljanienko in your prime time. So in terms of character creation, lack of story holes, or weaker elements that clearly stand out from the thoughtful ones.

All Ghibli movies - To be honest, I don't really like them and I put them mainly out of a sense of duty. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the skills of Miyazaki (co-founder and director of some films) and his people, but their products do not appeal to me. I highly recommend "Princess Mononoke" and "Spirited Away". I am sorry that so shortly - in the next text about M&A there will be more of my talk about Ghibli. I will publish it soon, I just don't see the point in repeating myself, especially since I haven't seen most of them. There are 21 movies on Netflix.

NGE - Although I am far from delighted with this series, like 12 years ago, "Neon Genesis Evangelion" is a great anime. Despite their visible flaws, which make me laugh every year. I used to fanatically love this anime and only after a few years did I understand most of the critics' arguments. I will say this, it's worth watching this anime mainly due to its historical values, nice animation in a few episodes and the beautiful movie "End of Evangelion", which still looks great. Or at least for the fight scene between the UN forces (which decided to destroy the enemy that could threaten them - Nerv had at that time a large budget, firepower, technology, it's hardly surprising) and Evangelions of serial production, and Asuka, one of the main characters. This is one of the best fights using great robots in the history of anime. In terms of animation, direction, and representation of the strength and capabilities of mechs. But from the beginning, because I started from the wrong side. In 2015, the world is on the verge of destruction and the only chance to save it is the Nerv organization, which prepared defense against the Angels. If the Angel touches a certain thing, the great boom will repeat. Only this time the great boom will destroy all life on Earth. I'm talking about Second Impact, an event that took place in the world of anime in 2000. As a result of a mysterious experiment with Adam (the first Angel) in the Arctic, most glaciers changed their state of focus to water and the rest can be guessed. A piece of the world was underwater, the geopolitical situation changed, a lot of local conflicts erupted, and so on. Nothing new in human history, but on a larger scale.

I mentioned that the plot makes me laugh a little. I meant not Angels, war with them etc., but the main character, the excessively fatalistic overtones of the anime and such seriousness that cannot be taken seriously, as if you are not a rebellious teenager. Although not, I take it back, Angels also have some funny elements, e.g. random and thoughtless use of religious motives of the Catholic and Judaic religions. Returning to the topic, I will not go into details, because I would have to devote a separate text to it, maybe someday I will write one. However, I can give an example of an anime that roughly tells the same story, but in every respect better. As if someone took Evangelion and wrote it again. More understandable and in life, without exaggerated hysteria, with the main character who is not a complete pussy in terms of character. I will say more, "RahXephon" may arouse some reasonable suspicion of plagiarism or at least an exaggerated inspiration - the whole story is too similar, the characters are almost the same, they play very similar roles to their Evangelion counterparts, but they are as if corrected. If anyone of you wants to see it, maybe here: https://www.amazon.com/RahXephon-Season-01/dp/B003B1VJ0U

![higurashi.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmaPSgDGQBshMFAZbhhpuTXVshLUa8UtPPGZgZMLzymcwN/higurashi.jpg)

Higurashi S1 - 14 years have passed since the end of the first series "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni", a new fairy tale from this universe is planned for 2020. Is it worth the wait? If you are fans of horror movies, then by all means. I don't like them myself, but on average once a year I want to see one of them. I don't care about the form - animated, cinematic, no difference. It also happens that I want to break and play "Amnesia: The Dark Descent", and this is a game that I am truly afraid of. However, when viewed, it works less well for me. Mainly because they are watching the action, and I'm not a direct part of it. But back to the anime, the Higurashi action takes place in the village of Hinamizawa in 1983. In the summer, Maebara Keiichi, a young teenager who quickly befriends Renna Ryuuguu, Mion Sonozaki, Satoko Houjou and Rika Furude, moves into the village. Initially, life in the village is idyllic and nothing indicates that this place has its dark secrets. The structure of the story reminds a little of the movie "Butterfly Effect" - the series is divided into several segments and many of the events (not to say all, but I saw Higurashi too long ago to say it with 100% certainty) is repeated. The difference is that each time it is slightly different and there are so-called variables that somehow affect the course of events. Something like you have a great friend who has very high compatibility with your character, worldview, way of being etc. but you are different in some nuances that somehow affect the rest. Nice treatment, I like to watch scenes known to me, but seen from a different perspective, if it is well done. E.g. a conversation between some characters, but from the view of an observer who, because of the distance, can only look but cannot hear what they are talking about.

Just as I recommended "Dorohedoro" because of blood and brutality, I recommend Higurashi twice. We have a lot of brutal scenes here, it is worth quoting the famous scene of torture with pulling nails without any anesthesia. I don't know if many people remember her, but in their time people (not just manga fans) "recommended" it to themselves, just like some epic scene from a series or anime. The characters, in turn, willingly use knives, cleavers, or other dangerous tools that make blood flow in streams. I don't remember how the whole soundtrack looks like, but when it comes to opening, ending, and a few songs, it is at least very good. Intro and outro defend well from the perspective of years, and the main musical theme still raises shivers on the back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuofG8a7EEk The only drawback of the anime is its line, which is too childish in my opinion. Well, but that's one thing, apart from this one thing I rated "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" at +8, or 9/10 there, I don't remember exactly. Today this rating would not fall below the level of 8/10.

I haven't seen it, but it is worth: "Kakegurui", "Toradora!", "The 7 deadly sins" (before it became shit, it was supposedly a good story), "B the Beginning", "Violet Evergarden" and "Tales from Earthsea". And "Castelvania", although this cartoon has only the style of anime.
