Basically when a large number of people are trading on margin (using borrowed money to bet the price will go up if they're "long", or betting it will go down if they're "short), recently the market has moved in such a way to fuck them over. So the other day there were more people shorting BTC than there were when the price was at 20k, we suddenly had a massive run up and many many traders got fucked by their accounts being force liquidated, causing many to say the price is being manipulated. If this is true, then we may see lots of traders get rekt again by a sudden price drop.
