### Fellow Steemians,
I am proud to announce yet another member of our manual curation team, the @asapers. This person has showed an immense amount of passion and is a hard working and devoted Steemian. With a mindset in line with the approach and beliefs of the @asapers, it's with great pleasure I present this new member. 

This person is only **14** days old and have already received delegations from contests, by placing amongst the winners in these contests. This person is also proof enough to show others that you don't have to be an **old** Steemian to bring something to the table and reap some rewards from your labor. Effort and hard work is all it takes, and this person is a living proof of that fact. - **Welcome @mirrors!**

With @mirrors in the team, we're not only up to one additional asaper, we're also able to grow our entire @asapers community. Especially on [Discord](https://discord.gg/KKzNw2X), but obviously in terms of followers for the @asapers account and the people we curate too!

This is pure **awesomeness**, and due to my **initial** delegations to all the @asapers members, I will obviously delegate a total of **100** SP to @mirrors too. However, due to recent delegations I have literally **zero** Steem Power right now, so I am incapable of any delegations at this time. That being said, I **will** delegate @mirrors in *"portions"* until I reach a total of **100** Steem Power and I will do this **as soon as possible.**

<center><h2>The Future?</h2></center>

While I was explaining this on Discord yesterday, I started to think about the future. I am the **benefactor** of the @asapers. This basically means that I delegate **my** Steem Power to other members so they can grow, support, inspire and motivate **others**. - I live, breathe and operate on Steemit with the *pay it forward*-mentality with focus on to help **others**.

The @asapers is a manual curation team that spreads the rewards with the featured authors from each issue of our curation posts... And even though this obviously brings focus towards **newcomers**, we welcome **everyone** to our Discord channel and to follow our official account, or any of the asapers individually.

However, when I thought about the future and on several asapers-related things, I asked myself:

- Why do I delegate my Steem Power? And why did I chose these people?

As I've already talked about 'why I delegate' many times before, in parts, with or without in-depth details and a bit here and there, I thought I'd shed some light upon 'why I chose these people' instead. - ***Why did I chose these people?*** - A pretty good question.

But, this will **not** be as much about that, as about what **you** could or would do, to get a **future** delegation from me and **why** you believe you would be a perfect fit for the @asapers.

<center><h2>Feel Free To Tell Me Why.</h2></center>

At first, I wasn't going to tell you the reasons I delegate Steem Power to the current asapers. Mostly because I don't want others to reply with those exact answers in this article in an attempt to *"grab some potential SP"* effortlessly.

On a second thought, it serves the purpose even better **without** any form of explanation from me... But I also understand that it might be a bit more difficult for others to answer this without **some** details or explanation.

### So Here Goes:

I handpicked the first **6** asapers members. I picked them out of curiosity and due to the potential I saw in them. With time, I quickly realized that some of them wasn't living up to the expectations I had. In neither approach or mindset.

What you should know, is also that I don't have huge expectations and I'm not known to be harsh or difficult. I saw **something** in these people and I truly believed they would all **continue** in the same way as they did **prior** to my delegation. That wasn't the case, and even though I got a bit disappointed at first, I also realized that it's literally **impossible** for me to pick 100% perfect Steemians with such loose guidelines and rules. - However, I continued my own approach without strict rules and guidelines and I am truly satisfied with the remaining ones.

- They proved to be **solid** as mountains.

And that's **all** you'll get. No more explanations and no more hints.
