Simply Solstice

# Happy Solstice fellow Steemians. Whether you're celebrating the longest day or the shortest day of the year I hope you all have an amazing one filled with love, laughter and positivity.

We are so blessed to live on this planet. So full of life in many different forms. From the smallest flower to the tallest tree. The tiniest insects to the largest mammals. The beautiful rivers, lakes and oceans. The mountains, jungles, deserts, ice caps and grasslands. 

We are blessed with seasons from the subtler changes in equatorial regions to the extreme hot and cold of the northern and southern hemispheres. 

In the north today we celebrate the height of summer. Give thanks for the warmth of the sun that has crept up on us kissing the land with its warmth bringing plants and animals out of hibernation to complete another cycle of life for another year. A time of fertility and abundance. Eagerly anticipating the bounty that nature provided.
In the south we celebrate the midwinter the marked return of the upcoming spring when the days begin to get longer. A quiet time for contemplation and rebirth. 
When we rest and rejuvenate conserving energy in order to build strength for the upcoming growth.

Celebrating the seasons and the changes in planetary position is a lovely reminder of all the beauty this world has to offer. 

I want to take this time to thank the humans that tread lightly on the planet. The ones who care for animals and those that are awake enough to understand that we can no longer contribute to our Mother Earth's destruction.
Those who value the natural abundance our planet offers and those who value the symbiotic relationships that exist here. 
Those who value earth care, people care and fair share. Those who are actively contributing to make the world a better place. No matter how small that contribution may be.
