It is an ongoing battle between me and images. Like you say the picture gives aids.

I don't mind not having images but my content should then stand well enough alone, my big squabble with them is the time it takes me to decide on something and it is very rare that I do not edit or modify the image, usually I am late to posting so that is always an issue and frankly I don't care about them unless they provide something apart from eye candy.  

The perfect person to look towards when it , people, comes to seeing how best to use images would be the story from @monchhichi23 and literally every post of @meesterboom is a great example of images contributing to your content and making each be a series in their own right. 

As for short form content maybe my disconnect post can help you with that, or like @rhethypo uses the same image for similar content. 

Good luck, psot layout and format etc is an ongoing battle and you will just have to figure out what you are happy to live with.

As an edit, no one reads apart from.... blah blah blah no one gives a fuck. You make your content good for you and sure it is great for that to be acknowledged but first do it for you. I am assuming you are your own worst critic, don't let up on that.

The problem with no images though is that you really won't get any new readers. I hear what you are saying and images that don't relate to the content are pointless and annoying but it's a sad fact that on a feed people often gloss over posts without a thumbnail. 

And of course there is that vote from wafrica to consider :0D
