All around the world, people have different opinons about abortions. For some people, abortion is a taboo, a sacrilege against God. For others, it is only right if the mother's life is at risk and for another faction, there is nothing wrong with it.
## To What Category Do I Belong?
Well, I haven't really give a thought to abortions until a few weeks ago. But now, I am sure that I don't really care about abortions. If you decide that you don't want a kid, fine. I don't think anyone deserves to compel you to have it.
Fine, anyone can make a mistake. In the heat of the moment, one can forget to use condoms or just overlook it in hopes that nothing will happen. And then, these condoms aren't a hundred percent effective and can break. In fact, a person might even decide not to use contraceptives because they don't want to.
A few weeks ago, I met a lady. During our conversations, I learnt that she had gotten pregnant when she was nineteen years old and was forced to keep the baby and marry the man.
What really touched me is the fact that she just got another baby and the man doesn't seem interested in taking care of the family. She has to care for the entire family, which includes her old mother-inlaw and her husband. The man has refused to work and she is left to fend for her family, reminding me of a pride of lions where the females hunt the food and the males just eat.

She was brought up with the belief that abortion is bad and shouldn't be practised. However in my own opinion, if she had aborted the pregnancy, she would have been kept away from the hardship she is currently going through.
Moreover, look at the overpopulation menace we have to deal with. The Earth is only capable of supporting an optimum population of four billion humans. Presently, the human population is approaching eight billion and it doesn't seem like that will be a stopping point.
A large percentage of children who are born daily are born as a result of unwanted pregnancy. Widespread acceptance of abortion will aid in controlling the human population. I don't think it will be cool to bring children that can't be catered for into the world.
Ultimately, it is my own opinion I am stating here and I am sure that other people would have their own opinions which will be very much welcomed.
